The Hon Dr Daniel Mulino MP, assistant treasurer and minister for financial services, will present at the FAAA’s annual Congress in Perth in November.

During the session “Minister & CEO: In Conversation” on the morning of Wednesday 19 November, the minister will speak on how the government is addressing the myriad issues facing financial advisers, and his views on the future of the profession, followed by a Q&A moderated by the FAAA’s CEO Sarah Abood.

Ms Abood says the session will be a great opportunity to hear first-hand from the minister, following his first six months in the role. Topics will include how he is addressing the many challenges facing advisers such as the rising cost of advice, falling numbers of advisers, and the sustainability of the Compensation Scheme of Last Resort (CSLR).

Under the theme “Ahead of the Curve”, the FAAA Congress will be held in Perth from 18 to 20 November.
